Apple iPhone Now Free On Most O2 Contracts

With the recent release of the iPhone 3G S on the o2 network, most demand is now on the newer model. A nice little side affect of the new model is that the standard iPhone 3G 8GB model is now being made available for FREE on all 24 month o2 contracts and some of the higher tariff 18 month contracts.

The up front payment required before the iPhone 3G S was released came in at around £99 for the basic tariffs, and if you don’t need the extra features of the new iPhone, such as video recording, then there is a good opportunity to save some cash whilst there are still stocks of the standard 3G available.
